Tetra Pak Sports Club treats Rumah Kasih Children to outing, games and lunch

The Adopt-a-Child program organised by Tetra Pak Sports Club was a commendable charity initiative by the staff and their families.

Their objective was to give back to charity by bringing a smile to disadvantaged children and to change the course of their lives.

On 1 July 2017, the staff and their families assembled at Rumah Kasih in the morning for some snacks with the children before accompanying them to Petrosains at KLCC. The visit to the Discovery Centre for the children was educational and fun as it was their first experience there.

The entire group of some 55 people returned to Rumah Kasih an noon for a sumptuous meal of KFC and Pizza. The staff and their kids interacted well with our shy and timid girls to demonstrate their care and support for them.

Their noon program was focussed on recycling to help educate the children on keeping the natural environment clean and learning to make Carton Wallet.

Their corporate social responsibility program ended with a cheque presentation of RM1,000 by the Sports Club President Lawrence Lee. He added, “Members of Tetra Pak Sports Club would continue to support the children of Rumah Kasih to help them with a better quality of life”.

They also donated two cabinets to store food provisions and some useful tables.
