The society raises funds solely in support of its mission and to consistently engage with the community for assistance as well as to generate awareness. This is done through individuals, corporate organisations and occasionally special fundraisers.
In doing all these, the committee takes personal responsibility for using its resources efficiently, achieving measurable results, and being accountable to individuals, corporate partners and most of all the children entrusted to us. With an annual operating budget of RM 240,000.00, our resources, both financially and human capital, are strained. Resources are needed to run the Skill Training Centre and Rumah Kasih (Kasih Home). Both these Centres are open to welcome many of these afflicted children. We have been striving very hard and making every effort to raise funds. Society’s dinner show raises RM65,000
It was a unique gathering of like-minded friends and well-wishers who had generously supported our charity home Rumah Kasih to help the children from poor families with accommodation and basic education.
Some 650 guests attended the dinner show on 8 July 2017 at the Selangor Chinese Assembly Hall themed ‘Support A Child and Make A Difference’. It was a wonderful evening where many relaxed in a friendly sitting atmosphere and enjoyed the good acquaintances.
Many believed that although the event had many memorable moments, the one thing that topped them all was the performance by our Rumah Kasih girls. They remembered many of the children through the previous fundraisers and commended them for their awesome dance performance.
During dinner and show, guests were treated by the popular evergreen band NightBirds with great choice of music blended with country and western songs.
Helmi the Gimmick, known as truly 1Malaysia entertainer kept the guests in stitches with his favourite songs, jokes and comedy act. Known for his stage acts and mingling with guest’s, he provided good entertainment where the guests joined in with great fun.
Master magician and illusionist, Dr. Mohdi Moudini shared his touch of magic. The audience were entertained by stage tricks and illusions which included among others, cards and dove appearing magic trick.
PKK President, David Kurian in his speech invited the guests to be a part of the society’s outreach program at Rumah Kasih and expressed his gratitude to the generous donors who subscribed to the aims of the society. “Without your support, the society would not have been able to fulfil its purpose of helping the needy especially their school children”. Commenting on the dinner, he said “It was indeed the best where many enjoyed the fun night with great entertainment and a sumptuous dinner”.
The event also showcased the society’s community activities over the past 23 glorious years.
Surprisingly, dinner tickets were sold within a month despite the various challenges faced during the current economic climate. The Committee is extremely grateful to the guests for their unwavering support towards the success of the dinner.

Our Financial Needs
We need about RM16,500 monthly or RM198,000 annually for our operational expenses.
